When we were hungry, we sought out Mum,
She cooked and fed, was never glum.
Whatever happened, we went to Mum,
She was just there, for everyone.
When in doubt, she said, be mum,
She taught us not to jump the gun.
Commitment and resilience to just be mum,
Is what I learnt from my beautiful Mum.
The world one side, Mum was Mum,
Both strict and soft, yet full of fun.
In prayer and devotion, there was none like Mum,
Surrender with faith, her mantra was done!
When things are good, dusted and done,
Memories and gratitude, my dear old Mum!
